Industrial Relations

Despite the links between trade unions and political parties, the industrial climate of Antigua and Barbuda is remarkably harmonious. A 1975 labour code governs industrial relations and an Industrial Court settles disputes with binding decisions.

There is a shortage of skilled labour, therefore the Government readily grants work permits for companies which need to import skills.
