The VC Bird International Airport comfortably accommodates the largest aircraft. airportAmongst the many international airlines that operate regular flights are British Airways, British West Indies Airways (BW1A), Air Canada, America Airlines, Condor and the Leeward Islands Air Transport (LIAT).

Geographical location makes access to the islands relatively speedy. Flying times are 2 and a half hours from Miami, 3 and a half hours from New York, 4 and a half hours from Toronto and 8 hours from London. Located between the markets of North and South America, Antigua's port provides a sea link from Canada, the United States, Europe and the Far East.
